It was for this reason that a municipality in Florida contacted Topaz when substantial growth began putting a strain on the city's water supply system. Engineers were forced to expand, requiring several 24" lines to be tied into an existing supply line.

The engineers contacted Topaz for a solution. The Topaz service department recommended that mechanical tapping tees be bolted on the line and that 24” hot taps be made through full opening, full port gate valves. The municipality agreed and Topaz supplied the mechanical tapping tees, hot tap equipment and hot tap technician. Topaz expedited delivery of the mechanical tapping tees, our hot tap technicians were made available to meet the customer’s accelerated work schedule, and the project was completed ahead of time and at no additional cost to the municipality.
