Topaz, Inc. provides hot tapping (wet tap), line plugging (line stop) and cold cutting services in applications ranging from high pressure transmission pipeline, to low pressure commercial heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. Our diverse clientele includes chemical plants, oil refineries, natural gas distribution companies, pulp and paper mills, power generation companies, municipal utilities, steel/aluminum/metals manufacturers, mining companies, food processing plants, semiconductor manufacturers, plastics/rubber manufacturers, pharmaceutical manufacturers, engineering firms and construction and maintenance contractors.

As a specialty service company, Topaz does not perform turnkey work; we furnish specialized equipment and the highly trained and skilled personnel required to operate it. Topaz service technicians operate under the customer’s supervision until the scheduled hot tapping, line plugging or cold cutting is completed. This cost saving arrangement eliminates duplication of labor and supervisory personnel, and is most efficient in that the customer has the best understanding of the overall project requirements, and can most effectively integrate our services into the work flow.

In addition to these services, Topaz offers a line of piping products including weld-on and mechanical tapping and plugging fittings, Plidco pipe repair clamps and mechanical couplings, full encirclement pipe saddles, expansion joints, pipeline pigs, pressure test plugs, gas main bags, pipeline insulators, and casing end seals.
